Polish in Place fixes spelling and grammar in the text box you are already typing in. This page explains exactly what happens to that text.
There is no server. The developer of this extension never receives your text, your API keys, or any information about you. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no account.

That service's own privacy policy and data retention terms then apply to it. Level 3 is unavailable and never runs unless you have entered an API key yourself. |

chrome.storage.local on this computer only. It is deliberately not placed in
Chrome's synced storage, so it is never uploaded to your Google account. It is transmitted
only to the AI service it belongs to, as that service's authentication header.

chrome.storage.sync. If you have Chrome sync switched on, Chrome copies these
settings between your own signed-in browsers. They contain no personal information and no
text you have polished.

This extension is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
